Primer Sealer Undercoat

Primer Sealer Undercoat is the best in class, high performing undercoat for preparing your walls for a paint job. This high bonding primer offers high opacity and good coverage, making it the perfect choice for ensuring the best topcoat performance. Suitable for all masonry applications, this undercoat provides the perfect base for creating a rich, smooth, even longer-lasting finish.

This water-based primer has high bonding strength and hence provides superior adhesion to all topcoats. With properties like alkali resistance., high opacity and good coverage, this proves to be an ideal choice for all exterior and interior masonry applications. It penetrates the porous surface, seals the porosity of the surface, reduces the absorption of the surface and as a result topcoat gives better coverage.



Applications



New or Bare Surfaces :


New or Bare surfaces must be clean, dry and free from efflorescent salts. Remove all loose, defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff fiber brush and dust off. Treat any areas affected by mould, lichens, algae and moss with bleach. Apply a priming coat of Primer Sealer Undercoat. Allow the primer to dry for 2-3 hours.


Previously painted sounded surfaces:


Remove all loose, defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff brush and dust off. Apply one coat of Primer Sealer Undercoat and allow to dry for 2-3 hours.


Defective Surfaces:


Surface with cracks or broken areas must be levelled first and polished prior to undercoat sealer application. Holes & cracks must be fulfilled with a mixture of sand & cement. Apply one coat of Promax Primer Sealer Undercoat and allow to dry for 2-3 hours.


Application:


Promax Primer Sealer Undercoat se can be applied by thinning (1:1) with water by volume for brush application (depend on surface absorbency.

Environmental Health and Safety


  • Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged or repeated contact with skin.
  • Use only sufficient ventilation during application and drying.
  • Do not breathe spray mist or sanding dust.
  • If swallowed, it may cause serious damage.
  • Use dust mask during application, sanding and clean up.
  • Wash thoroughly after handling.
  • In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
  • Close container after each use.
  • In case of skin contact, immediately wash skin with soap and plenty of water. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists
  • When empty, don’t use its container for edible storage.

After Painting Care


  • Remove all dirt using a clean cloth or duster. Always remove dirt from top to bottom. This helps in avoiding loose dirt blotch the walls.
  • For household marks like pencil,tea,coffee,crayons,turmeric,ketchup,sketch pen etc. use liquid dish wash/mild detergent solution. Use a sponge to remove the stains. Wipe the area with a clean cloth.
  • Walls in children’s rooms get dirty faster than the rest of the house. Repainting with a single coat of paint every two years will keep the surface looking fresher. Make sure old paint is sanded lightly before the new coat is painted on.
  • Walls of passages, kitchens and children’s rooms are easily soiled. Clean these areas regularly at least once a month on a specific day with a sponge and mild soap solution. Do not scrub unnecessary as that might damage the paint film. However, highly washable paints usually have good scrub resistance.
